Whatley Manor Hotel: A Fine Dining and Spa Hotel in the Wiltshire Countryside
The Whatley Manor Hotel combines the best of the old and the new. On the one hand, the hotel is set in a traditional country manor house building and the décor in both public and private areas of the hotel are designed to be sympathetic to the building. On the other hand, rooms are bestowed with the most up to date of technologies and facilities including, entertainment centres designed by Bang and Olufsen and underfloor heating.
Staying at the Whatley Manor Hotel is an exclusive experience, there are just 15 individually designed rooms as well as a further eight suites.
Rooms are designed with earthy colours in mind and make use of a variety of “soft” materials including textiles and fabrics to create a warm cosy environment in the old country house.
Whatley Manor however, is nothing if not the domain of the foodie, the hotel plays host to Martin Burge and his two Michelin star restaurant “the dining room.” In addition to two Michelin stars the restaurant is also proud to see that its contemporary take on classical French cooking has been awarded four AA rosettes.
If a less formal dinning experience is sought, dinners may opt for Le Mazot, an informal brassiere style of restaurant serving both lunch and diners with room for 70.
Need to take it easy after all the great food on offer, book a session at the hotel spa “Aquarias.” Treatments range from an express 45 minute facial to a full VIP treatment lasting several hours.
Perhaps relaxation in the hotels grounds is more your thing, if so why not take a walk around the hotels 12 acres of themed gardens including, the traditional rose gardens as well as the more naturalistic woodland and wild meadow area.
So if looking for a hotel which combines country bliss with spa facilities and fine dining, consider the Whatley Manor.
