Travelodge Royal Leamington Spa Hotel Review

by Tony Long
(York)

From experience, Travelodge hotels tend to come in two formats, the cheap ones located at the side of motorway service areas and those which would pass for a much nicer hotel in a respectable building. This hotel defiantly falls into the second category.

The hotel itself occupies the upper floors of a lovely Georgian building in the centre or Royal Leamington Spa. As such, the hotel is ideally located for shopping in the spa town and there are ample restaurants in the area from the steak house located immediately below the hotel to a whole range of other dining options in the town centre.

The hotel, despite its upmarket exterior feel is the usual Travelodge deal, a clean room with everything you need for comfortable stay but nothing more. Overall, if looking for a cheap hotel room in Royal Leamington Spa you could do worse than staying at this hotel. Slightly worrying however, was the fact that on leaving my room in the morning, there was a random person sleeping on the floor in the corridor. This did add comedy value to the experience if nothing else.
