The Ritz Hotel London: London's Five Star Hotel With a French Twist



The Ritz Hotel London is another one of the city’s top five star hotels and is certainly the place to stay if a touch of French elegance is your cup of tea. Like London’s other five start luxury hotels, the Ritz is one of the oldest establishments in the city and is as much about historical connections as it is a great place to stay for the night.

As such, the hotel is designed in the French châteaux style and fully furnished with inside in the Louis XVI style, think gold gild white furniture, ostentatious beds and wall mounted tapestries and you’ll be on the way to imagining a room at the Ritz.

To top it all off the Ritz Hotel is set in its own Italian styled gardens and has views into Green Park for those who enjoy a touch of nature in the city.

From a location perspective, the Ritz could hardly have chosen a better site, the hotel is located at 150 the Piccadilly. This gives great view into Green Park and access is easy via the tube station at Green Park or Hyde Park Corner. If shopping is more your thing, then the Ritz Hotel is surrounded by the quaint independent shops of the Mayfair district, or perhaps a trip over to Harrods in Knightsbridge is more your thing? The hotel is also within convenient striking distance of other key attractions including Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace.

As with all of London’s five star hotels, rooms are not particularly cheep although, prices start at around £255 per night for a superior queen to £400 per night for a Deluxe King. There are also a wide range of family rooms and suites available including multi-bedroom options.

The basic package will set you back £40 per person, while enhanced options including champagne can see the bill creeping up to in excess of £60 per person.
