Premier Inn Hotels: The UK's Largest Budget Hotel Chain
Premier Inn Hotels is the UK’s largest budget hotel chain with over 580 cheap hotels nationwide in a wide range of locations from city centre hotels to those on the side of motorway service stations. From a pricing perspective, the chain offers rooms from as little as £29 per night, if booked in advance.
For a budget hotel chain, Premier Inn’s rooms tend to be rather comfortable so long as one can put up with the company’s purple livery.
Rooms all contain king-size hypno beds, Fogarty duvets and pillows, flat screen TV’s with free view and a bathroom fitted with a power shower and in most cases a bath too.
Rooms also come with WIFI (charge applicable) and desk space and unlike many budget hotel brands, basic toiletries will be found in the bathroom.
If technology is your bag, then the hotel chain won’t let you down. Some locations now have speed check in facilities allowing room keys to be collected with the swipe of a credit card. In addition, for those on the move the hotel chain also offers a sat nav download and mobile phone app to help find hotel locations.
When it comes to dining, all Premier Inn hotels are attached to one of a number of restaurants including the popular chains Beefeater, Table Table, Brewers Fayer and Taybarns. Some hotels also have there own Premier Inn branded restaurant, as well as branches of Costa Coffee located in many branches.
So if looking for great levels of comfort but still not looking to slash out on a full service hotel, Premier Inn may be the ideal budget hotel for you. While not offering quite the same levels of service and amenities as a full service hotel, the company has not striped out so many features and benefits so as to make the hotel cold and uncomfortable.
