The Lighthouse Llandudno: One of The Best Lighthouse Hotels in Wales

The Lighthouse Llandudno offers a unique combination of spectacular views, a great location and luxury accommodation as well as the chance to spend a night in a lighthouse which operated as recently as 1985.

The Lighthouse Llandudno The hotel itself is an unusual piece of architecture, taking on more the form of a fortress than that of the traditional lighthouse.

However, this is part of the attraction of the hotel and makes for much larger rooms and better facilities than many lighthouse hotels.

If staying at the hotel there are three room options available:

The Principal Keeper’s Suite – This is the largest room in the hotel and boasts en suite facilities and a four poster bed all toped off with seaward views. The room is recommended for either coupes or small families and groups.

The Telegraph Room – Offers guests the best views from the hotel. This room is fitted with a double bed and en suite facilities offering guests 280 degree panoramic views out to sea. In addition, guests may ascend the ladder onto the roof of the building for an accompanied tour of the roof tops. If staying indoors and cosy is more the order of the day, the traditional black Welsh slate fire place will hit the spot.

The Lamp Room – This was previously the room which housed the lamp itself, this has not been removed to make way for a double bed and en suite facilities. The room offers panoramic views 280 degrees East to West.

Rates at the lighthouse hotel are £80 per person per night and include the “lighthouse breakfast.” There is a £20 single supplement payable for guest travelling alone and children receive a half price concession.
