Adgestone Vineyard Hotel: Unusual B&Bs on the Isle of Wight
The Adgestone Vineyard hotel offers B&B accommodation on the isle of Wight at surprisingly attractive rates, so if looking for a cheap holiday on the isle of Wight combined with an unusual hotel stay, this many be a place to look into further.
The vineyard itself claims to be “probably the oldest vineyard in England” reason enough in itself to consider a stay here.
However, not only is a stay at the B&B a chance to experience the 10 acres of surrounding grounds, the accommodation is also within range of some of the islands best locations including Shanklin, Sandown and the Roman ruins at Brading.
All rooms on the vineyard are either doubles or twins and feature en suite bathroom facilities, in addition the hotel is a pet friendly one and will allow dogs to stay with guests in their rooms. Rooms are of course equipped with the usual TV’s and tea and coffee making facilities that one would expect.
Breakfast is served in the hotels main dining area “the atrium” and is based around a traditional full English, although a vegetarian version is available on request.
While rooms are not especially breathtaking, they are bright and clean and it is the rates that are the real attraction. Rates start from just £25 per person per night on a B&B basis and if staying two nights or more a complementary cellar tour is thrown in.
Perhaps even better value are some of the B&B’s packages. The two night celebration package includes two nights accommodation, Champagne and chocolates, flowers a candle lit dinner and a vineyard tour including tastings all for just £225 for two people.
So if taking a holiday to the IOW or simply looking for a vineyard hotel on a budget, the Adgestone winery may be the place to come.
